Thanks to the power of our Engagement Builder you can send emails to your customers, or dealers and brokers, to create meaningful engagements and provide insights about every conversation.
When creating Workflows in the Engagement Builder, you can select an option to send an email and add your own email address or domain as the sender, replacing the default noreply@kaisa.io
However, in order for Kaisa to send emails on your behalf, certain steps are needed so we can be correctly authenticated by email providers.
What are DKIM records?
You need DKIM records to send emails on behalf of others to provide proof of authenticity and integrity, preventing spoofing and assuring recipients of the email's origin and content, which in turn improves email deliverability and builds trust in the domain. DKIM uses a private key to sign outgoing messages and publishes a corresponding public key in the domain's DNS records, allowing the recipient's mail server to verify the signature and trust the sender.
How does it work?
Kaisa needs to know the domain you will use in your emails, so we can generate the correct DKIM records for you to insert in your DNS records. This way, when we send an email on your behalf, we will not be flagged incorrectly.
-
Step 1 - Contact our Support team in Kaisa to confirm the email domain you wish to use
(i.e. @yourCompanyName.com)
- Step 2 - Kaisa will generate DKIM records in our end.
- Step 3 - We will send you DNS records to add in your end.
How do I add the DKIM records to my DNS records?
This process may vary based on your email provider, but email providers will follow the same steps in a general sense. We have added some guidelines below but please always refer to the documentation for your domain.
- Log in to your DNS provider: Go to your domain registrar or DNS hosting provider's website and log in.
- Find your DNS management page: Navigate to the section for managing DNS records, which may be labeled as "DNS Management," "Name Server Management," or "Advanced Settings".
- Paste the value: In the "Text" or "Value" field, paste the public DKIM key provided by Kaisa.
- Save the record: Save the changes to your DNS records
Some of these changes may take up to 72 hours to take effect, but after the records are verified Kaisa should be able to send emails on your behalf from our Engagement Builder or any of our solutions.
Any questions at all please contact our Support team!
