Sometimes you will see a word, or a term, or an acronym, somewhere in our platform that may be ambiguous to you or sound confusing. There are a lot of moving parts in Kaisa, not only linked to programming and implementations but also other common terminology for telephone networks and other parts of the services we provide. This article tries to gather some of these terms to ensure you have a glossary for reference when you are at a loss.
Telephone terminology
Callspec | Also Callspecification, it's a unique identifier provided by Kaisa to each telephone call in our platform. |
CDR | CDRs are Call Detail Records, refers to individual calls and all data associated with them. You can identify a call with our Kaisa ID in Explore. |
NDC | NDC (National Destination Code) is a digit sequence that identifies a group of phone numbers (usually in the same region) within a country. For London in the UK the NDC is 020 or +4420 with the country code (CCNDC) |
e164 | An international standard that defines a general format for international telephone numbers. An example of a number in e164 format is +442012345678 |
Accounts terminology
Custnr | Customer Number, a unique identifier for an account inside an organisation in Kaisa, defined by the customer. |
Custname | Customer Name, a name given to an account inside an organisation in Kaisa, doesn't need to be unique. |
UUID | A unique alphanumeric ID generated by Kaisa for a subaccount (an Account inside an Organisation). Can be found in the Settings in a subaccount in Kaisa Classic Dashboard, or with a GET request using our API and /Customers resource. Used for some of our fs.js functionalities. |
sc_id | A unique numerical ID automatically generated by Kaisa when a subaccount is created. Used mostly with our API. |
Our Numbers
Static | A Static number is created manually in our Dashboard or using our API (here and here), and can be linked to a series of static parameters to show with each call. They lack an online journey but can be used in places where our implementation can't be used (for example in GMB pages or emails or printed media) |
Dynamic | Dynamic numbers are automatically generated by our javascript solution or our DNCS API solution. Dynamic numbers will contain accurate information tied to a visitor journey or a listing and have more insights to be used in our platform. |
Callback | A Callback number type is an identifier in our platform related to a callback telephone call. You can filter in Explore by number type and Callback to see all calls originated from your side towards your customers. How do you schedule callbacks? Either through some of our tools or using our API. |
