DIFFERENT TYPES OF COOKIES
Websites usually split cookies into 4 different categories. They may sometimes have different names and can be in some instances divided into more categories but the below remain the most common ones.
Essential or Strictly Necessary Cookies
These are the cookies without which visitors cannot use a website. They are essential to the website’s functionality and cannot be disabled by users because the website cannot exist without them.
Performance Cookies
These cookies collect information about how visitors use a website in order to enhance the website performance. In this way, website owners can adapt the content of their websites more specifically to their visitors’ needs and thereby improve their offer. These cookies also include analytics and customization cookies that track visitors’ activity, so that website owners can better understand how their site is being accessed and used.
Functionality or Preference Cookies
These cookies allow the website to remember choices visitors make and provide enhanced, more personal features. These cookies can also be used to remember changes visitors have made to text size, fonts and other parts of web pages that visitors can customise. The information these cookies collect may be anonymised and they cannot track visitors’ browsing activity on other websites.
Targeting or advertising cookies
These cookies collect information about visitors’ browsing habits in order to deliver adverts more relevant to them and to their interests. They are also used to limit the number of times a visitor sees an advertisement as well as help measure the effectiveness of the advertising campaigns. They are usually placed by advertising networks with the website operator’s permission.

HOW TO CLASSIFY KAISA'S COOKIES
At Kaisa, we consider that our cookies should be classified as performance cookies. Indeed, our cookies are collecting information about users’ browsing in order to better address their needs when they are contacting our clients and offer them enhanced call services. Our service is not a marketing service but a tool to better serve our clients’ end-users, which is the reason why our cookies should be categorized as performance cookies.
The other categories do not appear relevant based on the following:
- Essential cookies: the websites could operate without our cookies.
- Functionality cookies: our cookies are not used to improve comfort and usability of websites.
- Advertising cookies: our cookies are not used to send advertising, promotional or any other type of information to users.
If you have any questions about our cookies and classification, please don't hesitate to reach out to your CSM or to our Support team directly for information on support@kaisa.io
